An Abimis kitchen in a loft in the heart of Paris

In the heart of Paris, the city of love and elegance, stands this eclectic, personality-filled loft that captured the heart of a young Italian entrepreneur, passionate about cooking. An old artisan workshop, inside an early 1900s brick complex, which has been converted into an apartment. Not very big, but warm and welcoming. A charming vintage retreat, embellished with authentic details and decorated in a simple, natural style.

A story of love at first sight

If it could talk, this loft would tell us an intriguing story. That of a young entrepreneur of Venetian origin, married and with a 7-year-old daughter, who moved to the French capital for work. His passions? Family, first and foremost, good food and a simple and traditional way of life.
Luck has it that one of his colleagues, who had recently separated, decided to put his loft up for sale just as the protagonist of our story was looking for his new home.

As they say in these cases, he saw it and it was love at first sight. This charming loft, with its original large original glass windows flooding the rooms with light, the 2 mezzanines connected to the ground floor with an old spiral staircase in painted iron, and the wooden slatted floor, all did it for him. And his wife and daughter were immediately won over too.

Abimis Ego kitchen: a meeting of past and future

But the final touch, what really convinced him, was the kitchen. In fact, the previous owner had offered to sell him the kitchen too, an Ego model by Abimis in hand-orbitally polished stainless steel, made to design for the house.
A kitchen of professional origin that would allow the young entrepreneur-chef to satisfy one of his greatest passions.

The kitchen had been divided into three blocks. Against the wall, under the mezzanine, a large column with a cupboard and refrigerators. In the centre, an island with an induction hob. Below the window, a low element with a sink area.

New style, same kitchen

After the purchase, the new owner transformed the house adding his love of simplicity and great attention to detail. Apart from the kitchen, which he wanted to leave exactly as it was, he changed all the furnishings opting for a natural style. He chose raw wood or painted white furniture, upholstered couches in écru linen, brass lamps and objects made of rope, wood and terracotta. A style that complements the warm steel colour of the kitchen. The result? A perfect blend of vintage and design.
The kitchen in fact remained there, in its place, testifying to the adaptability of its timeless design. Proof that Abimis’ stainless steel kitchens fit any style and any home.

A suspended corner of relaxation

As a welcome gift for his daughter, the new owner then pulled a sturdy rope net connecting the window to the girl’s bedroom (one of the 2 mezzanine bedrooms).

This created a play/reading corner, suspended over the kitchen like a large hammock, a creative detail that adds a playful and unique touch to an already fascinating environment.

In this Parisian loft, every detail tells a story. The new owner has succeeded in blending the past with the present, creating a space that exudes warmth, style and authenticity. A place where passion for good food is combined with love for a simple and natural lifestyle. A place to experience a unique and real life, in the heart of Paris.
