The 41st edition of Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tiles and Bathroom Furnishings in Bologna, ended on 27 September 2024. Abimis took part in the event in collaboration with Ceramica Sant’Agostino and for their exhibition space provided a kitchen wall block from the Ego line, made of AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for one of the settings.
Devised as a path of sensory exploration, the design of the exhibition stand offered a reflection on the links between tradition and innovation, between research and rediscovery. In fact, Ego’s design philosophy originates precisely from this combination of antithetical but complementary concepts. It is actually inspired by 1950s aesthetics, but conceals within its volumes and rounded details – doors, drawers and handles – cutting-edge technologies and instruments, typical of professional catering.
With a hand orbitally polished finish, the Ego block exhibited by Ceramica Sant’Agostino is large in size and is complete with a double sink set into the top without any gaps, internal compartments and high-capacity pull-out shelves, coordinated splash panel, recessed skirting board and stainless steel handles, in continuity with the kitchen.
Thanks to this collaboration, the two brands shared the values of their entrepreneurial and creative philosophy, including the wide possibility of customisation and project-based interpretation of the collections.
