An Ego kitchen by Abimis in Perugia

Just outside Perugia, immersed in a large garden that offers tranquillity and light, a contemporary house has become the ideal refuge for a young entrepreneur, his wife and their two children. The wife, a cooking enthusiast and owner of a children’s bookshop, wanted the heart of the living area to be an Ego kitchen by Abimis, which she chose for its performance levels, equivalent to those of professional kitchens, and its ability to combine aesthetics and functionality.

The Ego kitchen: the heart of family life

The Ego peninsula kitchen, made entirely of hand-orbitally polished stainless steel, was designed to optimize the living space, dividing it into three distinct but complementary areas: the kitchen, dining room and relaxation area.

The wall-mounted kitchen block houses the flush induction hob and large storage drawers, ideal for convenient, tidy space management.

A particularly striking detail is the mirror-polished steel skirting board, which reflects the old wooden boards of the original floor, creating the illusion that the kitchen is suspended in the air. The handles, also made of polished steel, complete the design, creating glittering reflections of light on the matte surface of the steel.

Functionality and aesthetic harmony

Behind the peninsula there is a wall equipped with white lacquered wood, designed to integrate the fridge, oven and containers with discretion and harmony. Thanks to its essential design, this structure blends in with the white walls, leaving the environment light and airy.
The hand-orbitally polished finish of the steel goes perfectly with the warm tones of the light wood floor and the white walls and ceiling, making them complement each other.

This combination creates a welcoming and bright atmosphere, perfect for a young family who uses the house as a haven of domestic serenity.

A family-friendly living room

In the dining area, opposite the kitchen, a large natural wood table provides a sociable area for meals and shared times.

Not far away, a practical and informal set of ‘mattress’ seats, covered with coloured patterned fabrics, adds a lively touch to the environment and is the children’s favourite place to read and play.

Choosing Abimis

For the couple, the kitchen is much more than a place to get meals ready. It’s the beating heart of the house. The family spends most of its time here and almost all the daily activities take place here. Every detail of the living area is designed to combine simple and welcoming beauty with the need for a practical and functional environment.
The Ego kitchen by Abimis, with its elegant line and its dominating character, fits perfectly into the heart of this setting, organizing the spaces and becoming its beating heart.
