Two\u00a0Abimis kitchens\u00a0in\u00a0a historic building in Bisceglie<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

In the heart of Bisceglie, inside an elegant historic building spread across two floors made of exposed stone, the design of a local entrepreneur, who has been involved in the production of oil and organic products for years, has come to life.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t\n\t

A residence that combines\u00a0the\u00a0charm of\u00a0tradition\u00a0and\u00a0a\u00a0contemporary style. Although the building\u00a0is\u00a0located in the historic centre,\u00a0the entrepreneur\u2019s family chose it because of the large windows and the brightness of the rooms. In fact, it overlooks a large\u00a0internal courtyard\u00a0(where,\u00a0as a tribute to his land\u00a0and work,\u00a0he\u00a0has planted\u00a0several\u00a0olive trees)\u00a0and also has a sunny terrace offering a beautiful\u00a0view of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t\n\t

Two Abimis kitchens, both from the Atelier line, are a key feature of the house. They were both designed by the owner \u2013 he himself made a few sketches by hand, which Abimis then transformed into a tailor-made design \u2013 to cultivate his great passion for cooking and to blend better into the unique setting of this ancient dwelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main kitchen: a blend of tradition and modernity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located on the piano nobile of the building, the main kitchen is spread across a large room with high barrel ceilings, sage green walls and a floor made of old multi-coloured concrete tiles, testifying to the refined taste of a renovation dating back to the early 1900s.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t\n\t

Here the owner wanted a super-equipped solution, but at the same time respectful of the original charm of the building. He opted for a\u00a0kitchen with a peninsula<\/strong><\/a>, from the Atelier line, divided into two separate blocks: the more functional one, consisting of a peninsula with an integrated sink and a snack bar with four stools, perfect for breakfast or quick meals; and a large equipped wall, which houses the ovens, a large refrigerator and an air-conditioned wine cellar. A solution that clearly reflects the owner\u2019s passion for culinary art and good wine.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\t

\u201cI wanted this kitchen to be the heart of the house\u00a0and my passions,\u201d\u00a0the owner told us. I designed it with this configuration because it\u2019s perfect for my way of cooking. It\u2019s an\u00a0ergonomic,\u00a0functional kitchen with plenty of space to work and ample storage space.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t\n\t

And I wanted it in hand-orbitally polished steel: a soft and silky finish that fits aesthetically with the room, with the colour of the walls and floors\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second kitchen: a multifunctional island<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the second floor, opposite the large terrace, there is the second kitchen.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t\n\t

This is also functional and well-equipped, although smaller and\u00a0designed for a cosier and more intimate space.\u00a0A simpler space,\u00a0very bright,\u00a0characterized\u00a0by the ceiling with\u00a0exposed beams painted white.
Another Atelier model, still made of steel, but with olive green painted doors. A\u00a0colourful kitchen<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0that reproduces the tones of the marbles with floral patterns decorating the floor and ideally recalling the olive tree fronds that can be seen through the windows. It is a central\u00a0island kitchen<\/strong><\/a>, equipped with a sink and a hob flush with the top. All around, restored family furniture completes the d\u00e9cor, creating an environment that tells of roots and family affections.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\t

\u201cThis kitchen is my corner of tranquillity. It\u2019s where I prepare the simplest dishes, surrounded by memories and light which gives me a deep sense of serenity while I\u2019m cooking,\u201d continues the owner. \u201cThis is a kitchen to be used in every season<\/strong><\/a>: in summer we eat lunch outdoors, often with our friends. In the colder periods, which don\u2019t last for long here, we dine on the terrace, enjoying the splendid view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two souls, one vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The design of the two kitchens demonstrates Abimis\u2019 ability to adapt to complex architectural settings and to respond with tailor-made solutions to the most specific needs of both designers and private customers. The Atelier line, with its stainless steel finish and extreme customization, was the ideal choice for a project that combines functionality, design and respect for history.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t\n\t
